The 2 words that can derail anyone from reaching their goals:
What if?
“What if I make a fool of myself?”
“What if I fail?”
“What if I’m rejected?”
I had my What Ifs as a first-time author – What if I have no inspiration? What if I cannot meet the publisher’s deadline? What if I’m being criticized for my work?
Notice a pattern?
I, I, I.
The first and most important step to starting something:
GET OVER YOURSELF.
Do it because someone will benefit from it.
Do it because it will bring positive impact to the wider community.
Do it for love and posterity.
2.5 years ago, I penned my first word in my maiden book project. And in exactly 14 days, I’m looking at the launch of my book in collaboration with one of the world's biggest English language publishers – Penguin Random House. I wrote this book because I hope my lessons can benefit you, and if you become a better version of yourself, you will help spread positivity to other people, and if more and more people experience this positivity, then they will take better care of one another, and there will be more love in the world.
I am but a drop in the ocean, however, together we can create a new current of positive force.
Do it for a reason greater than ‘I’, and the ‘What ifs’ will fade away.
